Tyler Hynes

Tyler Hynes was born in Toronto Canada and is an accomplished actor, director, producer and writer.  He got his professional start at the age of eight during a 34-performance run of the stage musical A Christmas Carol followed by the cross-Canada tour of legendary rock opera The Who's Tommy, in which he played the role of 10-year-old Tommy.

After getting his start in theater he moved in front of the camera starring in a multitude of film and TV productions where he turned in award winning and nominated performances.  Nominated as a "fan favorite" Hynes starred in the 24-episode run of the TV series Tales from the Neverending Story as Atreyu, as the Chosen One in Peter Benchley's Amazon for 22 episodes and in Disney's The Other Me, among many others.  He further cultivated his acting craft as a regular on such TV series such as Saving Hope and John Grisham's TV adaptation of The Firm and Police Dramas.

Recently venturing into the Rom Com genre, Hynes has starred in a myriad of highly successful Hallmark movies including the recent Shifting Gears, It Was Always You, Unexpected Christmas and Three Wise Men and a Baby, which was the highest rated Cable TV movie on basic network in 2022.  At 3.6 million viewers it came in 2nd only to Yellowstone for the night.

Having always had a diverse taste in film and in character Hynes has balanced his romantic films with as wide of a range as an actor could strive for with characters such as Dierks in the critically and commercially acclaimed comedy Letterkenny, Kyle Renner in the twisted sci-fi thriller Chimera by visionary director Ash Thorp and the morally complex Sgt. Reece in the WWII Drama Recon.

From the stage to television to film, Hynes has recently ventured beyond now entering the sports arena by starring in a post season campaign for the Kansas City Chiefs parodying the Rom Com genre in Falling for Football, which quickly became a phenomenon unto itself.  The future is looking bright, whether behind or in front of the camera, as Hynes seems to be enjoying a diversity of character, genre and career shared by few but appreciated by the masses.
